Alright everyone starting today you all have two weeks to teach your dog to "bow" using either hand signals or a voice command, by the time you tape the video you should not have to lure anymore. At the end of two weeks please post a video showing your dog doing the trick in this thread. Be as creative as you can and remember to have fun, this should be enjoyable for both you and your dog! If you cannot participate in this trick don't worry we will have another one after and will attempt to make it a trick that those who could not do bow can do, we don't want anyone left out twice in a row.

Start Date: September 6th
End Date (post video by): September 20th

I'll give it a shot...Lacey's easy to train, not so sure about Jasper...but he's really food motivated!

This should be interesting. lol. I'm hoping Juno won't need a ridiculously exaggerated hand signal in order to do this one.

Dom and I are working on it! It took me awhile to think up a hand signal (the first one I tried was apparently too similar to the roll over signal, lol) but I thought of one and it'll be really cute if she gets it!

Ahh ow! Pit and I almost have bow done. I just need to teach him not to be so frantic where he rakes my feet each time he bows.

Haha, no, that's my apartment hall. It's the only place here with enough space to do any training. And thanks!

Looks great! That's the signal I'm going for too, the problem I'm having is every time I lean over her a bit she wants to sit. It's been kind of tiring because I have to keep her moving all the time or she stops and sits or lays down. That girl does like to fish. :p

:D She'll get it soon! I have to get Pit moving all the time otherwise he gets wrapped up performing all his other tricks and forgets what we were working on.

I have the feeling I may have to use the clicker for this. Izzy starts with a bow to get to the treat *we just started yesterday* and ends up in a full down most of the time  Even giving her all the treats in my hand when she actually just does a bow doesn't seem to make her notice. *Goes off to find the dusty clicker*

Last night she finally started getting that I didn't want her to sit so she tried fishing for eye contact and then tilting her head a little to the side to see if maybe I wanted roll over or bang. :p

Annd I think this is as good as it gets with us: YouTube - Trick Train Off - Bow
Very nice! That's what I'm trying to achieve but I don't know if we'll get there, lol.

I'm kind of stuck at the point where she knows she's supposed to bow, not go into a down, but I can't seem to get rid of the lure. It's kind of weird because normally she's pretty quick to start offering me a behavior once we start working on it, but she won't offer the bow. If I sit and wait for her to do it, she just starts waving her paws around... weird dog.

Victor will do any basic command without any problem but he will not do tricks for no treats. Pepper will but he will not. So no lure left us out.
