My 8 week old puppy has worms!!!

there was one single border collie on the breeder farm but it doesnt matter to me if there was a mix...Riley is a great puppy and that what matter to me and the family!!!
SIDE NOTE : not sure if this matters but the breeder point out all of rileys family members ....Grandparents ,Parents, Uncles, Aunts ,Cousins ...he had the entire family tree there!!! Unless it was BS???? I cant be 100% sure cause my wife and kids went to pick the puppy up.

It's entirely possible, in which case the guy is most likely an Aussie mill. He's in it mainly for the profit and little else.

It's hard to tell at this age and without seeing the parents. I've seen some dogs that have a huge amount of white on them, but they're just mismarked. But I also saw pictures of the parents and it was a solid to merle breeding. Without seeing pictures of your pup's parents, it's hard to say.

i will try to contact breeder and see if he would email the pictures of the parents.

Yup, crap breeder. I'm sorry. I'm sure your pup will turn out to be an awesome companion, but we can teach you how to pick a good breeder (or rescue) for your next dog.

Thanks...I will do more research when that time comes around... To be honest it was a quick decision because my last dog bit my 2 year old son on his head and he had to get 3 staples in his head...so the pound came and took him away And as much as we wanted to get the dog back we just could take that risk and let that happen again. So after about 2 weeks or so we decided to go with the aussie...did little research but also read that they are good with kids..this was the most important thing!! So far things are working out great my 2 year old loves riley and they get along very well. Also we are learning alot of good info from this site so we can do things the right way with are new puppy!!!!
SIDE NOTE: The dog that bit my son was a jack russle (small but had some giant K9s) overall he was a good dog but im not sure why he bit him ..the dog was always a little wery of my son at times and at other times they would play together! I just dont think the dog liked small kids!!!! Anyways the dog is in the pound and did his 10 days and now is up for adoption.

The one thing with kids and Aussies is that Aussies are HERDING DOGS, which means that "running children = out of control stock" and they will run circles around them, barking and possibly nipping at heels and such. You can train them not to do this, but be aware that if it does happen, the dog is NOT being "vicious", he's herding.

Otherwise, they do make good rough and tumble companions who will go all day long and be watchful.

we are already seeing this and trying to teach this. Riley is getting better but do you any more suggestions or tips!! Riley does nip at my son's ankles but no circling him or barking...Riley does when him and my son are playing together but only then!
