So last night my friend brought her 2 dogs over for a playdate with my 4. Needless to say it was a full house. All these dogs go to the dog park together multiple times a week (except Chance,) but Chance has met her 2 on numerous occasions.

We were shocked, all was going well, no scuffles, nothing. Everyone was CALM, nobody was barking, nothing.

My cousin gets home, and knocks on the front door. All the dogs go to see what the commotion is all about. I thought it was my other roommate so I said, "Its open..."

Turns out it was my cousin with a handfull of 2 cases of soda and all the mail. He comes in, and does a very good job of keeping ALL the dogs inside, while she shuts the door with his foot. I was impressed.

My friends dogs Xoup, and Chance, have similar personalities. They're wimps when it comes down to it, but put them by a smaller dog and they think they're all tough. Excitement leads to trouble, which is why I dont bring Chance to the DP.

My cousin ended up pushing Xoup into Chance which ticked Chance off and Chance lashed out on Xoup. I went to grab them, but as I grabbed Chances collar, he spun around and went for Xoup, and got my arm.:(

That was the first time one of the dogs has actually hurt me. I immediately grabbed his collar, and put him into a sit, and my friend had already jumped up to grab Xoup.

The crazy part? I crated Chance for 20 minutes, made sure EVERYONE (not just the 2 involved) were all calmed down, and then let Chance back out, and he and Xoup played the rest of the night like they were BFF's.

Oh to be a carefree dog, lol.

(Lesson learned: we need to desensitise the front door ASAP)

Luckilly with all the movement, it ended up not being a puncture, but 2 long scraped down my inside forearm. It doesnt look too bad today, and its only very mildly sore.

Poor guy though, I crated him to calm everyone down and he was giving me those sad eyes like, "Mommmmmm, Im sorryyyyy I didnt MEAN IT! :("

lol. I didnt crate him to punish him though, just to calm everyone down.

I'm sure he didn't mean it . They say the best thing to do is shove whatever is being bitten into the mouth , but I'm sure my reaction would be to pull away , causing more injury . Sorry !

That really sounds not intended for Chance and surely he will not form any habit of it.
