So today was SO MUCH FUN! Dekka, Snip, MafiaPrincess, AllieMackie and JessLough were going to the JRTCC all breed fun day today, and Sierra and I tagged along. Sierra is exhausted!!

(And yes girls, I know I've only been home like an hour and you're all probably not even home yet, but I wanted to get these up ASAP, and since I have a crappy camera to begin with, there wasn't any editing or anything to do so I could be super fast *buahahaha*)

I don't have as many pictures as the other girls do, but I'm sure they'll be along within the next few days to post the amazing pictures that they took with their amazing cameras!

Sierra in her crate when we first arrived. Note the sheet between hers and Cider's crate, they weren't happy with each other at first.

FINN!!

"Moooooom.... he's smelling my bum!" She was a bit snarky at Finn at first, but she got used to his "border collie puppy-ness" as the day went on.

"I'm not sure about you yet buddy, you stay over there."

He's seriously stinking cute!

The line up/gaggle for lure coursing (can you tell it was a JRT event? lol)

Sierra lure coursing!! She LOVED IT!
Finn lure coursed too and it was awesome! Unfortunately my pictures of that did not turn out in the least. Sorry Allie!

Smudge in the agility ring.

Sierra. Zonked out under Allie's car.

The Cockers!

Cider being mouthy and very cute - waiting to take her turn lure coursing.

Cockers coursing!

All that play called for some downtime in crates.

Smudge in his ex-pen.

Bounce, chilling in the ex-pen.

Dash (taken through the bars) in the ex-pen.

Sierra was so tired, but kept perking her head up when I pulled out the camera. Also note the sheet now IN her crate, her and Cider got used to each other :)

*done*

Edit: I just realized that I don't really have any pictures of the JRT's !! I guess this is a post of the "other" breeds that were present that day lol

Just for good measure, I dug through trying to find JRT pictures that turned out half decently. I found ONE.

Snip waiting for his turn in Go To Ground.

They let other breeds play too??!!

Someone needs to tell me when the next one is. Meg and I may go on a long drive if it means she can try lure coursing. I think she would LOVE it.

Sometimes they are all breed, sometimes JRT only. IF, however, someone were to drive from Vermont, we could likely setup some lure coursing...since it was our equipment with me running it today. (And at a lot of the events actually.)

Today was an "all breed" day, so everyone got to take part :) I know Maf has luck with the Cockers during other JRT events though lol

I didn't know if Sierra would like lure coursing, and she LOVED IT!! I'm sure Meg would go nuts!

Sierra the Rainbow dog, man was she flying doing Lure Coursing!!
It was great meeting you today Lynn! It was funny hearing someone behind me say "I recognize that dog!" LOL

Edit: Snip, you and I posted at the same time :)

Once I figure out my schedule at the new job, I'm holding you to it. I've been craving a road trip lately anyway. I've been trying to find a place we could try for a while now. It would be fun to do an all-day thing where we could do agility as well, but if I can work it out time wise, I think I'd make the drive just for the lure coursing!

I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!

It was a lot of fun!! I have pics too but they will have to wait. I am tired and heading to bed. Maf, JessLough, and Allie are still out at the bonfire (likely eating my marshmallows!! Yes I have resource guarding issues when it comes to marshmallows :D)

BB you and Meg are more than welcome to come and visit and stay for a while if you want to make the trek up!!

It was so much fun! You'll get my HUGE dump of photos tomorrow, folks.

Sitting in the trailer with Jess right now (the wireless works, Snip!) and Finn lying curled around me. I'm so proud of him this weekend, he adapted to everything so well. <3

Great pics Nilla! You and Sierra are so fun, it was great meeting you! I totally wanna hang out again sometime. :D

Allie it was great meeting you and Finn (and Jess!) too!! I definitely want to hang out again! (Have a safe drive back to Ottawa today, I hope the rain stops.)

BB - it would be so much fun if you and Meg came up for an event! I'd be sure to get the day off again so I could come too and meet you (and watch Meg lure course!)

There's a fun day on June 14th
JRTCC - error 404
That's the weekend of our agility club's USDAA trial, so IF I can get that weekend off (looking unlikely, which is making me very upset), I'll be there. You guys should plan to come down for it next year - absolutely the nicest trial I've been to. It's in the wedding meadow at the Trapp Family Lodge, so it is the prettiest area around, nice pond in walking distance for the dogs, and nice indoor flush bathrooms!

Let me know if any are coming up in July/August. I'll have a better idea of my schedule then, and know people better so I'll feel better about asking them to swap days with me if needed.

Yes I have resource guarding issues when it comes to marshmallows )
Umm, have you seen the jumbo marshmellows? I have no idea how long they've been around, but we just got them at our stores recently. They are 2" across the top, and about 2.5" long. We made s'mores from them, and had the eat them with a fork because they were so amazingly gooey. I desperately wanted a bonfire to toast some on!
