Loose dogs AGAIN!

I know we've had this thread a million times, but grrrr!

Today Summer and I were walking and I didn't even notice somehow. Summer stops in the middle of her stride and turns around to look behind us and I see two little dogs running straight at us and carrying on. The first one started carrying on sounding like a tasmanian devil, growling and snarling at us. My best guess is it was a really really badly bred overweight chihuahua or maybe a chi x spaniel? The other dog is about the same size but is white and tan and fluffy. It's one of those dogs I call a chihuahua-papillon that could be either a badly bred pap or a badly bred chi. You could be heavily involved with either breed and have no idea what it was until the owner told you.

Anyways, this lady comes running down the road and just screams at the chi-thing to go home. I was standing there probably with a look of horror on my face. Of course neither dog goes home. Summer was soooo good, though. It was odd because usually if even a friendly dog comes up to her, she'll react and growl and maybe even snap at it. But she didn't, she went into a wiggly fit, wagging her tail like crazy at the pap-chi thing. The lady ended up telling me it indeed was a pap and kept asking me how I grew Summer's ears so big because she was disappointed her pap had small ears. Summer actually sniffed noses with the pap and wagged her tail and even tried to play with her. She didn't even act aggressive towards the chi, who was being completely obnoxious, though her owner had picked her up.

The lady told me the pap was very people friendly but the chi was not (I could tell!) and that they were both not dog friendly and were possessive over that area of the neighborhood. (In which case I was wondering WHY you'd let them offleash...) Thens he walked off before I could really say anything. I sure hope they're not terrorizing that area, I don't want my breed to get a bad name from her. Of course most people would assume it was a chihuahua but still...

That sucks, I feel your pain. In my neighborhood I have stupid neighbors that keep letting their GSD outside in the electric fence without supervision, and either she isn't trained to it as well as they think, or its not working or they are not putting her collar on or something, but she keeps getting out and running around the neighborhood. Last night I was pulling into my driveway at about 8:30pm, it was dark outside, and all of a sudden a GSD runs right in front of me, scares the crap out of me for a second.:yikes::madgo:

I just want to say to them: "YOUR DOG IS NOT PROPERLY TRAINED TO THE ELECTRIC FENCE, STOP LETTING HER OUTSIDE WITHOUT SUPERVISION YOU DUMBSH*TS!"

But of course I'm too nice and polite to cuss at people.

^^this dog could use the Mrs. Butterworths treatment.

You can see their house perfectly from our house and vice versa, so I'm not sure I could get away with that, but its a good idea.
