I need VIBES! Papillon vibes!

Ive found a papillon breeder I like ALOT and she has 2 females available a 7month old and a 2 year old. We've been emailing, I've filled out the questionaire, sent it in soo fingers crossed everything works out

The only problem ive been having is breeders i email wont adopt out any small dogs to people with larger dogs.. especially a German shepherd, but i described Kenya and explained that she is gentle with small dogs, they would never be left alone together unsupervised ect.. so hopefully it wont be a problem.

Im gonna try to get a video of kenya playing with my cousins minpin lol kenya lies down when shes playing tug and just holds onto the toy while the little guy tries his hardest and then she usually just lets go and lets him win.

so please guys send me some extra vibes!

Have you ask her why she won't sell to owners with large dogs?

Maybe it's just me, but I'd hope the breeder I'm buying from will use common sense over requiring something like that in a contract.

Omg, if you get a Denzel dog I'll be sooo jealous! I want my next papillon to come from there.

The large/small dog thing is an issue sometimes, especially with papillon rescues. They're not THAT fragile though. If you supervise and separate them (which is what I plan to do with my hopeful future larger dog) it's fine. Summer lived 4 years with a GSD.

Shes not one of them that wont. it was another papillon breeder that told me she wont because she thinks papillons are too small to be playing or living with large dogs, especially a breed like the GSD and that she wouldnt even consider it as long as the dogs never come in contact. She also told me that MOST small breed breeders are the same way.

Im hoping this breeder will see Kenya for the sweet dog she is, and not just look at her breed and deem her unfit to have a small little brother or sister

I know a breeder in College Station that breeds both papillons and GSDs. It's not that unusual of a combination, really.

Something about the breeder I saw on the website. . .she has 13 males and 25 females! (excluding the females that are co-bred).

I do plan on being careful. I would never leave a Pap alone with Kenya, Kenya is a big girl and loves to play and I wouldnt want her to hurt a small dog by accident. Seperating will be easy enough, Kenya has her crate and At my new job,I can take my pap to work! they allow you to bring your dog to work if they are under 20 pounds.. which i think is so awesome! kenyas gonna be a bit jealous.. but she gets to go to agility and training and the dog park soo she gets her own special time

Its ok the number of dogs is something I have to ask about.
Ive heard great things about this breeder, and all her dogs are drop dead gorgeous but im gonna ask, that does seem like quite alot of dogs now that i see the number

I wouldn't have said anything if it was like 2-6 females and 5-10 males and maybe some pups and/or young dogs. But with so many, I just thought if you hadn't seen that you might want to know before getting too attatched.

I'd ask, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't own all of them as in keep them all at her house. She's one of the premier pap breeders in the country. She's pushed health testing, performance, etc which are areas the breed needs to work on. She's also very active in papillon rescue. From what I've heard and seen, one of the first places I'd go for another papillon.

all her dogs are gorgeous, She has a TRI female available, i dont have any pictures but shes older and im glad i like tri colors, although ive never seen a pap color i didnt like lol

I have a 12mth old GSD, who is a big horse, my sister has two paps,,,my gsd loves playing with her 10mth old pap, and he with her..Yes, the gsd could very well hurt him unintentionally, but we supervise very closely, and for the most part she is very easy on him (tho he is a brat to her ! LOL)

I wouldn't leave them unsupervised (as I know you've said you won't) just because of the size factor and anything can happen with a BIG rambunctious dog and a SMALL rambunctious dog..but it can and does work..

On the other hand, my sister also has two labs,,tho they aren't spring chickens they co exist nicely with her paps..

Does she ship her dogs? I noticed she is in Maryland.

I haven't asked. I hope so, but for the right dog, id go visit I have family up there anyway that i havent seen in a while
