This is Lilly, a friend's dog. She was just rescued from a home with about 15 other dogs, they were all kept outdoors with food tossed to them, and Lilly was the smallest and is very timid, so she never got her share of the food.

I'm curious to see what you all think she may be. I was told what breeds she is supposed to be (a cross between two purebreds), but I don't believe it. Well, the one half I can see but not the other. LOL, anyway, I'll tell you all what she's supposed to be later, after a few guesses. Lilly is 6 months old, and underweight right now but should probably be about 30-35 pounds. She's maybe 18 inches tall at the shoulders but not positive on that one.

So what do you think?

Leonberger was what popped into my head, but I know that's not right. Probably some sort of shepherd/collie mix. :)

LOL, mini Leonberger is the very first thing I said when I saw her. I figured I just must have been looking at Cleo pictures for too long. :p They're definitely not common in this area though so I doubt it.

I really don't believe what they said the dad was... but then again, there are so many strays around here and the mom is an outside dog so it's extremely possible that she was bred by more than one dog.

I see border collie and maybe retriever or husky...but probably something smaller? Definately border collie, though.

I see GSD. I was going to say Golden but the white paw makes me think another herding dog like ACD or Aussie - it looks like it has the little spots the acd has.

Thanks for all the guesses!

Ready to hear what the guy said she is?

Mom is a Collie (or possibly Border Collie, not sure which he meant).

Dad was supposedly...

.

A bloodhound :yikes:

She had several brothers and sisters that were twice her size and the Bloodhound in them was obvious. They were giant, red, houndy looking dogs.

But this girl, I REALLY think her dad had to be something different.

but omg those eyes are so scared and sad :(

She is terrified, but coming around a lot more quickly than I thought she would. She had been outside since she was born and didn't have a lot of attention. My friend has only had her for a couple days. She mostly hides under their futon but started coming out for short periods of time after only a few hours of being in the home. She was stinky, had HUGE and tight mats behind her ears, and is so underweight. It's hard to see it because of her fluff, but you can feel every rib and part of the spine and the top of her head is kind of sunken in.

The first thing that popped in my head was aussie. I could see aussie or bc mix with something black masked like a shepherd (and a few other things)

Collie/BC I can see...her siblings likely had a different sire than she did. Happens quite often. IMo she looks a whole lot like irenafarms/brookcove/Becca's girl Lynn, who I think ended up being a Dutch Shepherd/Golden mix. Some here may know her from other forums. I might ask her to stop by and look at this girl.

She's a Lynn Berger Cheese Puff! Wow, we need to see if the AKC will recognise this "breed" next!

My Lynn at six months old:

And last summer, almost full grown:

Lynn's mix is known - she's half Golden Retriever, 1/4 Border Collie, and 1/4 Dutch Shepherd.
