Dont Get a (your breed here) If......

Don't get any kind of Coonhound if you plan to leave it alone twelve hours a day and your neighbors have some kind of objection to howls that make their houses vibrate.

Don't get an Australian Shepherd if you object to hair on everything you own and control barking when playing with toys or other dogs.

Don't get a sheltie if you don't enjoy barking, yodeling, howling, honking, or any other creative noises they can come up with.

Don't get a sheltie if you don't plan on socializing the puppy very early and a lot- they tend to not like strangers.

Don't get a sheltie or a papillon if shedding bothers you. *plucks white hair out of her mouth*

Don't get a papillon if you ever want to be alone in your house.

Don't get a papillon if you want a 'house ornament' instead of a dog, they require a lot of attention.

Don't get an APBT (American Pit Bull Terrier) if you want to take your dog to dog parks and you don't want to seperate your dogs when they aren't being supervised.

Don't get a corgi if you don't want a fur covered couch, if you don't want to spend half the day laughing at your dog, if you don't want to keep all food locked up in a vault.

Don't get a malinois if you don't plan on spending 25 hours a day being physically active with the dog, if you don't want to be screamed at every time you glance away from them, if you don't own a huge supply of balls, tugs and kongs.

Don't get a corgi or a malinois if you don't want a dog who is smarter than you.

Dont get a yorkie if you want an inanimate object... they are typical terriers in a small package.

Dont get a yorkie if you dont like brushing hair, ALOT, like almost everyday.

Dont get a yorkie if your uncomfortable with strangers approaching you to coo over your adorable dog everywhere you do.

Don't get a great dane if:

You have a coffee table
You don't like drool
You don't want to share your couch/bed
You are sensitive to being whipped by tails
You don't want a 150 pound shadow with you at all times, including "private" times.
You don't like clingy needy dogs who hate being left alone
You put food on your counter tops and expect it to still be there 5 minutes later
You are really into landscaping and don't want trenches in your yard
You don't have a high threshold for pain
You hate dogs that snore
You hate dogs that shed
You don't want to spend tons of money on food, supplies and vet bills

Do get a great dane if you want a loyal friend like no other who makes it known every single day that the world revolves around you.

dont get a wowie (chihuahua) if:

your sensitive about being stereotyped
your not willing to socilize
you like to go to the bathoor without supervisation
you want a dog that likes to spend time alone

do not get a crestie if:

you dont like giving dogs a bath/grooming
you dont like the feel of baby skin
you want a low energy slow paced dog
you like going to the bathroom alone
you dont like being pawed at
you want a dog that obeys unconditionally
you dislike sighthounds or terriers

Don't get a German Shepherd if...
1. You can't stand shedding - I vacuum every other day and it's a furry mess
2. You like to defrost food on counter tops
3. You don't like vocal breeds, mine "talks" to me

Don't get an APBT if...
1. You can't deal with rude people and their contempt
2. If you like your yard with grass and not bomb craters
3. You rent/have to move frequently
4. If you want to be a dog park person
5. If you don't have a good fence - don't let them out in the yard...mine jumps my 6 ft fence easily

Do not get a border collie if you are , in any way, shape, or form, lazy. :X

Don't get a beagle if you don't want to be notified via "AROOO" every time a leaf falls off a tree, a slight breeze blows by, the neighbor sneezes, etc etc.

Don't get a beagle if you like sleeping alone. (The way Kody lays closest to me is he will lay ON me and then slide off so he is right next to me.)

1.) you caint stand a dog who digs alot.
2.)who sheds a ton.
3.)who only seeks attention on there terms.
4.)requires a ton of exercise.
otherwise they are very sweet natured dogs.
