BP et al, judgemental crap is perhaps flying around...not for the first or likely last time...and yes there is a tendency for the amount of offense or in this case, defense to vary according to post count...but that's "forum life".

Reggin's choices are just that, hers. That's coming thru loud and clear.

I wish her well, and hopefully she has the strength to make those further choices which sound like they might be coming up...so her child and her animals can have a stable homelife from here out.

OH what a cute lil guy!!!

I pray he and Reggin and Pebbles can be a ray of sunshine through your hard times.

I know when my family hit a tough spot after we just moved my dog Love was all I had. And I would have gone insane if without her. And even though its something that brings me down in the eyes of some. When I found Love to be pregnant, I was worried... Sad..Upset. MAN you should have seen my parents. It couldnt have ticked them off more and I caught the brunt of it. But all the time and Money I spent on vaccinations and other vet costs out of money my biological father sent for Xmas and my B-day was worth it. Plus all the food and other costs of raising a litter of pups...unwanted or not. But looking back I think I needed all that busyness to help me get through. And it helped me be who I am today. Your only given what you can handle.

Savor the puppy time you have! Its Magic and you can only go through it once with him. *hugs*

Come back soon and post more pics!!!!!!

Your pup is adorable! I too would have brought the pup home if it had already been paid for, especially since it is so small and won't take much to feed. It's nice that you have something to enjoy and look forward to when you're having such a bad time right now. I hope things improve quickly for you and your family soon.:)

He is definitely a cutie! Do you have photos of his parents? When possible (and it's always possible when you get a dog from a show breeder) I like to see photos of the parents - it can help me imagine the puppy as an adult!

Do they have a website?

I just read the last page because I have an interview to go to here in a sec.

Thanks for all the nice comments. He is a joy to this family.

I need to go through my photobucket account to find some pics of his relatives. His daddy is only 2 pounds. His grandsire is a gorgeous longhair and is very stocky.

I am going through some really rough times right now, but I do have a job interview today and hopefully things will go well. My family always comes first. If this new baby had to go without the stuff she needs just so I can keep this little boy, then that just wouldn't fly in this household. My babies come first... I have my priorities in order and all is working out well so far. My life, my decisions. Some may stomp their feet and disagree as I am sure I will find out once I have a chance to back track and read this entire thread. lol.

Curious mind.... what's his registration name going to be - are you incorporating Truffles in it?

Ok, so here is my first attempt at stacking. I failed at trying to get his tail up in the first ones. I used my oven because it was at a good height, lol.

I would love input from foxywench since you are more knowledgeable than I about the breed. Second opinions are always nice to have.

I was told that the only thing that could possibly hold me back in showing is his tail. I was also told that I could try taping it, but probably wont. Not a biggie to me.

I'm no chi expert, just wanted to say he's a doll!!! Oh my goodness, that's way too much cuteness.....need more pictures! :D

You may want to start tipping the ends of his nails, puppies usually have short quicks and too keep them short you start them young. Plus it will get him used to it. I'd get a cat scissor type nail clipper. It works well on my little Kassie feet, you can see what your doing a lot better with those tiny feet. Doing them once a week will keep them nice and short.

Thanks. I was just thinking about that the other day. Dont want the quick to start getting longer, because it will be a pain!

aren't most toys out at 6 mos? You might not have the time you think you have LOL. I can't say I'd be up to it in your situation.

You should at least find a conformation class in your area and get that puppy OUT...your home is not enough socialization for a dog that will be shown.
The showing might not even happen. Its something I thought about BEFORE I hit some hard times.

I am not keeping him cooped up all the time, trust me. After having Pebbles, who gets nervous when people try to get too close, I am getting this puppy as much socialization as possible. Another reason why I got a chihuahua... so I can take him everywhere with me! lol.

Let's not turn this thread into an ugly bash fest ladies.

She paid for that pup before things started going bad, she's waited for the pup for quite some time. While the pup may have been better off staying with the breeder for now, I am sure the pup can still return to the breeder if things don't improve for Reggin. And we all know that things can fall apart or improve in a moments notice.

This is one bright spot in her life at the moment, don't ruin it by making a simple picture thread into something it isn't.

Reggin, he is a doll! I am glad he and Reggin seem to have hit it off so easily :)

Thanks a lot.

Our hard times are supposed to be temporary. He got word from his boss at work that things will get better within a month. Its just been hard for the past few months but we are getting through. Yes, its been hard to afford dog food. Yes, we had to get assistance to get the bills paid. My fiance is doing work putting up our new fence and garage for the landlord, so our rent has been reduced for next month. We are doing everything we can to get through. So far so good, even if we dont have cable or internet on in the house.

To me, returning this puppy would be like giving up. If we can make it, then why not try? You are right... he can be returned if things get worse, which isn't supposed to be the case after speaking with his boss.

I've been visiting this pup every week since the day he was born. Hes been attached to me for awhile now.

Thats all I have to say about the situation. I know some people like to judge and get into others business, but I cant say it bothers me much, because I am good at ignoring it. A skill that comes in handy for everyone at one point or more in their lives. LOL. :D
