For goodness sakes, if every dog food company got sued for every dog that got loose stools eating their product...we wouldn't have anybody left to make dog food.
Even with the changes in the formula, no dog should die of bloody diarrhea unless the owners fail to provide medical care for their animal/stop feeding it whatever is making it sick. It's called dehydration.
It's not like they bulked out their kibble with shards of broken glass or something.
The two dogs I kept on that food after the switch began having bad diarrhea, too. I switched them right off of it. Everybody I know now that is feeding it, isn't having an issue.

I switched to raw shortly after they changed the formula. My dogs couldnt hold it in, they were going EVERYWHERE! And I have pics to proove it. But.. really... it's DOG FOOD.... I wasnt that upset over it...
Apparently they only switched two or three ingredients to lesser quality ingredients-- I think Herring meal to fish meal, and they changed the rices, as well...
Nothing dramatic, though.
I think they did it to prepare for their "Grain free" formula.
