. I reserved a puppy before the litter was born. This has been planned for a long while and he has been paid for for a long while. Refunds are not given.
Oh, and the littler was examined at 8 weeks and he has the most show potential of the entire litter. But more important than that is that he has an excellent temperament. The best of any puppy I have ever had. Very outgoing and loving... with people and other animals.

Thats fine and dandy. I'm happy he's such a great pup. You getting him has absolutely ZERO to do with his temperment.
It has everything to do with the fact that you keep posting that everything is going down hill for you and your boyfriend, housing, and money wise.
Why did you not think of the puppy and let him have a stable life with his breeder? Deposit gotten back or not.
I just feel bad for the pup, thats all.
And, I'm fed up with how you keep posting that everything is going down hill for you, then you still get a new puppy.

alas, I don't know anything except what's written on the internet so I wish you well, he is very cute and Reggin is as handsome as always.

She paid for that pup before things started going bad, she's waited for the pup for quite some time. While the pup may have been better off staying with the breeder for now, I am sure the pup can still return to the breeder if things don't improve for Reggin. And we all know that things can fall apart or improve in a moments notice.
This is one bright spot in her life at the moment, don't ruin it by making a simple picture thread into something it isn't.

i will say im a little concerend with taking him on while having such issues...
i certainly dont think showing is a good financial option.
BUT...
i cant say much as i will be adding another crested soon...
as long as you can aford the expenses, jus tbe very aware, chis bond hard and quick he wont do well with a family change should the need arise.
i will say though hes a realy cutiepie, very nice ears and a great head and im glad reggin is getting along with him, the pictures are great.
LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of socialization outside of the home with him, take him anywhere you can to keep him that happy crazy fun people loving bundle.

So should we just not say "cute pup" to anyone anymore because their situation could change tomorrow?
Yes, she is in a tight spot right now and things don't look so good. But that could literally change tomorrow. Her boyfriend's company could pick back up and he could be working 40 hours a week, she could get the job at Sears and have enough to make ends meet. Sh!t, she could hit the lotto and never have to worry again..........life is full of variables.
She doesn't have to have enough money to show the puppy, just enough to provide a roof, food, and vet care.
The pup was already paid for, isn't suffering, going hungry or without vet care, and it can go back to the breeder anytime.

I'm going to piggyback off of Coop here. We all make decisions in our lives and we never know what the future has in store for us. Never. The pup was paid for before times got tough and as long as she can care for him, I don't see the problem. If for whatever reason, she can't, I'm sure the breeder -like any decent breeder- has requested that the pup come back to him/her. The deed is done, there isn't any going back. Of course the pup is cute and people can comment on that if they want to, the pup being cute is not a factor of Reggin's money issues! It's just the way it is.
But she just said in her other thread that she may have to move to low income housing and get rid of Reggin.
And you know what? My family has been affected by the whole crappy thing thats going on with this country.

Do you know that things can change? Do you know what it's like to be so down and out that the only thing to lift your spirits is your dog? I would hope not, but if you do, then maybe you can think about how reggin will care for the dog and love the dog and do what she can for the dog, instead of her hard times thread. The dog has food, water, love, attention, has been vetted and properly cared for. That's all that anyone should ever ask for. I suggest you stop being so judgmental, it's not cool and very unlike you.
Chihuahuas hardly cost a thing to feed. Everything associated with them is in smaller amounts so it's not bound to cost much at all to care for this pup...at least not for a while, barring any unforeseen health issues.
Anyhow, he is an adorable wee one. Be careful though, with the two boys as this puppy matures. It's easy to get too confident and forget to supervise. I hope whatever is going on in your life (I missed that other thread) will improve soon. I enjoyed the pictures immensely.

He is very cute. I'm not partial to chihuahuas personally, but he's got quite the character to him!
I'm going to spout that I also rather disagree with your choice of taking the pup at this time in your life, as you have a new baby on the way and are fighting finances as it is. I just hope it doesn't come down to rehoming Truffles, or one of your other dogs, just because new puppy pulled the finances even lower.

I didn't say my opinion, but I also agree with everyone who has stated it was a horrible choice to bring a puppy into your home at this time Reggin. He should have stayed with the breeder.
