I don't think Buck likes his new saddle.

This is Buck, my very own horse. We found a nice saddle on eBay and bought it, and just brought it over for a quick test-fit. I do not think he likes the idea much...

:rofl1: OMG I don't know what was funnier, the bug eyed look while hes trying to look at it with out turning around, the tongue sticking out or the combination.

Just make sure there's a camera around for his expression when someone gets into that saddle. :D

It seems kinda dangerous...to name a horse "Buck"...lol.
Trust me, the thought occurred to me one second after I decided on and fell in love with the name. Maybe I should expand it and say his full name is "Buck Is Not A Verb," and we just shortened it to "Buck!" :)

I'm sure one of the paramedics will be happy to use their camera phone.

:rofl1: Just make sure they post them here.

Raja is going into training the first week in March. His days of a lazy, pretty pasture ornament are over and it's time he earned his keep.

He's never been ridden, but in a matter of 2 hours we actually did very well getting a saddle blanket on his back and putting the saddle on him (english saddle that was much lighter). He actually did quite well and even allowed us to tighten the girth. Well, he did give us the "What the hell are you 2 stupid humans doing.....this is annoying and not funny in the least" look. But when it came time to having him walk with the saddle on, he had all 4 feet planted at an angle and wasn't about to budge. lol

I promise to have someone with a camera, too.

Excellent! Buck was formerly an Eventing horse, and is going in to training (along with me, I have not ever ridden until my lessons started when I decided I wanted Buck) to ride Western. I just want to do trail rides with him. But he has an abscess right now so he hasn't started training yet. I told my trainer, Buck's going to be there for at least a month. But I don't want him back till he has a good set of brakes installed!!

I also wanted to post this picture of Buck and I, so you can see that he has not held a grudge so far. :)
