I figured maybe this should go here since it's got pictures, feel free to move it mods.

Anyway, he's home! Squeee!

On the ride I was telling Chelsea about conflict theory and so she decided that his name should be Marx. Not sure if it's staying that (we also threw around the idea of Marcuse (mark-oos, like goose without the g, lol), another famous sociologist.

This is him...

on the ride home, with Chelsea (he's in the bag).

Chelsea was scared of him, wouldn't even hold the bag for me to put him in, lol, but she actually held him before she left.
We sweated our butts off on the ride home, had the heat up to keep him warm and we were dying.

Curled up.

Stretched out.

Colors are off, but whatever.

"And you isssssss?"

He's about 215 grams right now, according to my scale. His old owner seemed to have good intentions, but was not well informed. He was feeding 4 pinkies every two weeks because he said if you feed them more often then that they will get too big too fast (powerfeeding).

The UTH is so ridiculously hot, was at like 105 degrees! It's wrapped in jeans and 2 inches below the bottom of the tank and I'm still tying to get it down a few more degrees.

Anywho, he's awesome!

Pinkies are baby mice without fur, so they're pink ;)

UTH is an under tank heater. It heats up the bottom of the cage to keep the snake warm, in this case too warm, lol

He's in LOVE with his pink hide :p

Very nice. He's quite a looker. I love his hidey box, lol. He'll be the only snake on the block with one like that. :D

He hasn't left his hidey box since exploring the cage, I don't know how I'm going to break it to him that he's being shipped new hidey boxes and I paid for them so he's using them dammit! :lol-sign:

Thanks Juicy :D

LOL, you know he's going to be like a cat - you can spend all the money in the world on toys, but they're more interested in playing with the reciept. :rofl1:

YAYAYYYYYY! He's VERY pretty, nice pattern! You've got a winner there, he seems pretty outgoing. :)

Honestly, BPs love their hides. They adore their hides.

aww i love him, and his name!

what is he, a royal python?
also, are ball and royal pythons the same thing?
Yes, they're the same thing. They're known as Royal Pythons (mostly in the UK) because it is said that Cleopatra wore one around her wrist. :)

In America, they're usually called Ball Pythons because of their defense mechanism - to roll into a little ball!

Thanks everybody :D

When I got out of work I had a voicemail from Chelsea saying her mom would tutor me in Social Statistics (needed for my major) if I let her play with Marx :rofl1:

He's still hanging out in his pink hide, I bet he didn't leave it the whole 6 hours I was gone, lol.

Here's a picture of Chelsea with him...

And of course a new snake means a new Facebook picture!! LOL
