Hello! My name is Debbie and I live in the DFW area of TX. I have 11 dogs of my own, mostly border collies (and now an APBT), and they are all rescue dogs!

I train all of my dogs largely on my own with the exception of a few agility classes. We compete in agility, dock diving and frisbee. We used to do flyball but found the politics too much to handle and left the sport just about a year ago. The dogs are also trained to pull and have sledding harnesses for pulling me around on a scooter, though we don't spend a whole lot of time doing that really. We go hiking almost every weekend on trails with creeks, or we go to the lake. They sleep wherever they want at night, including on the bed. I also run Ruff Mutt Border Collie Rescue. I have rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over 160 dogs in the past two years, solely on my own out of my own home.

You can read more about myself and my dogs here: http://ruffmutts.com/whoweare.html

I hope to get to know some of you soon!

OMG. We need to see more of your pictures. The one in your post and the ones on your site are awesome. Your dogs are absolutely gorgeous - I'm definitely partial to Dex and Rumor. Rumor has the cutest little butterfly ears. :D Welcome to chaz!

And I've been a member here longer than you, Becca, and I still don't know the secret handshake. :( :rofl1:

Ah! Look at all those Border Collies! (And if I read correctly, you've got a Mini Aussie in there too!)

Too bad I'm so far away, in probably 4 years I'll be looking for a rescue BC, and if it was closer, your rescue would be added to my list! (Probably still will, who knows, maybe in 4 years I will have moved to TX! LOL!)...

Glad to have you here, welcome and enjoy.

That's a best guess, of course. She's a rescue dog, too. I get mixed opinions on her but her personality is soooo much more aussie-ish than border collie-ish. She's my heart dog.

We have 4 Mini Aussie's here. I, personally, wouldn't own another. I love my Zoey, but I'm not much for small dogs.. My mother chose the breed and told me to pick which puppy I like the best (I was younger and much more stupid!), and then we ended up, somehow, with 4 of them. :p

I've had some problems on forums with people not liking that I have a Mini Aussie - rather than a standard, but I find with our crew, they're very much "Big dogs in little dog packages"...

Your girl's a real beauty!

I was looking at your rescue site, and oh my god! There are a lot of dogs listed I'd have home with me in a second if I could! Drat to mom saying no more dogs(After all, we do have 7), and drat to your being so far away!

It's not the fact that you have 11 dogs...it's that 10 of them are BC's...that's a whole new level of mind-blowing right there! :D

Welcome to Chaz!! We demand a ritual sacrifice involving many pictures of your crew before you are allowed entry into the inner sanctum.
