When I was growing up, my Czech parents really enjoyed eastern European dpression era treats. I like them fine until I realized what I was eating. So I have eaten pig blood soup (almost coal black with a weird metallic taste), head cheese (served with horseradish sauce), tripe soup (chewy, but a delicious soup--I mean really good, if you just skip the actual tripe-which is reminiscent of rubber bands),and, of course an assortment of poultry organs.
I like to eat raw beef- Korean style, with fresh garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil. Delicious. One of my favorite things, in fact.
