If I weren't a vegetarian I would have had all SORTS of weird stuff to try in Iceland...
My husband has routinely eaten sheeps head. Yes, the decapitated head of a sheep. Complete with brains..and teeth. *barf*
Also, blood pudding...ugh. Ram's testicles...pickled, mind you. Rotten shark (literally put in a hole in the ground to ferment for 3 or 4 months, then eaten).
Actually...come to think of it, I'm glad I'm vegetarian. It was a good excuse to not be able to eat any of that stuff...
Blech.

I would have to say when I started raw diet in 1984. At the time my vet, several of my friends thought I was crazy to feed " human food" to the dogs. At the time dog foods were not as expensive as they are now so it was really seen as weird.

Haha.. I'm from Vietnam where food is scarce, everything remotely edible is eaten.. the weirdest to you maybe the ballut(chicken/duck embryos?),
Hehe that reminds me. My brother has traveled a lot, and apperantly he tried to eat ballut...he said he couldn't. And he has eaten a lot of crazy things. :p

eta: this really isn't that strange...I've eaten snail (escargot)....I LOVE IT. Amazing.

Um... used to eat a lot of rabbit when I was little.
And cat/dog biscuits. Used to hook into them...
And bath bubbles.

Other than that... I'm pretty good lol. Plus I'm a vegetarian now so it kinda limits my exploits. I still think Kangaroo looks like an interesting meat.

My great grandma refuses to throw food away. Leftover PB/honey sandwiches from lunch... tear into bite size pieces and mix with mashed potatoes (can't forget the butter either ;))... and might as well throw in the scrambled eggs from breakfast :yikes:

Oh man! That's some rough times. Did she soak the kidneys in vinegar first? One of my english friends told me you're supposed to do that to get the pee out.

ETA: I remember now that I ate mothballs once when I was small. To this day I can not stomach lemon heads...Also, we used to make fish head soup and my brother would pay me quarters to eat the eyes. We would also forage on the beach a lot and eat raw limpets and barnacles. I'm probably loaded with parasites, lol. Geoducks too, but they were cooked.

When I was growing up, my Czech parents really enjoyed eastern European dpression era treats. I like them fine until I realized what I was eating. So I have eaten pig blood soup (almost coal black with a weird metallic taste), head cheese (served with horseradish sauce), tripe soup (chewy, but a delicious soup--I mean really good, if you just skip the actual tripe-which is reminiscent of rubber bands),and, of course an assortment of poultry organs.

I like to eat raw beef- Korean style, with fresh garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil. Delicious. One of my favorite things, in fact.

I think M&M's Mommy won this contest...lol Although I would say anyone who tries Mountain Oysters a close second...lol

I've never really eaten anything out of the ordinary. I would probably try it as long as it's healthy. I've just never been in a situation to try anything weird. Just keep the Mountain Oysters away from me...lol

Alligator would be the most "out there" thing I've ever eaten.

As for things I eat regularly that others might find strange: peanut butter toast dipped in molasses (with a big glass of milk), or warm jello.
