How do you pronounce Cane Corso? I always thought it was cane (like a walking cane) Course O (pronounce letter o)

At a Rally-O competition I went to someone had one (She was SO loving) and she said she was pronounced Con ay Course O (as if the e in cane had an accent on it). So how do you say it, I assumed she was right since she does own one.

oh... and fila? I've only heard someone refer to them in person once. They said "feela" but they're sentence was
"I don't know what mix it is, the person we bought it from said it had some feela in it" so who knows.

And Groenandael (sp?)???

I've always said Cane Course-O. The more you know.

There are heaps of breeds I can't pronounce because I've only read about them, not talked about them.

I have seen a difference in pronuncitation in Canada versus the US.

But I guess it would be best to ask a connie owner ;)

Koi-ker-hond-ja

(took me ten minutes and a friend repeating it to get me to say it right, I got tongue tied)
I think the end bit would be pronounced YA not JA.

Koi-ker-hund-ya

I say Fila as feela. I used to say Fill-a but I saw it broken down somewhere saying it was a long i.

This was bugging me so I asked my old dutch friend.

je means little. And is pronounced ya. Hond is obviously hound/dog. And the first part is pronounced koi-ker. D and T sound the same in the dutch language, so the hond, could be hont or hond... I reckon more on the side of hont like the german.

So, the full pronounciation is.... *drum rolls*

Koi-Ker-hont-ya.

Thank you guys, now I have to get used to saying it that way :p I wondered about Fila a little, I always assumed it was Feel-a but I didn't really know.
