This is Lady. She's my neighbor's dog. He basically lets her run free, and she used to visit a lot and play with my dogs. These were taken quite a while ago.
I would guess she's about 17" tall if I compare her to Millie.

Running from behind. You can see how short her legs are. The other dogs are Lucy and another doggy friend, Rocky.

Any guesses for what she's mixed with?

Well, yeah. she's short and very stout, with very short legs. She has to have some breed in there to give her that. . .unless it's a genetic defect but for some reason I don't think so.

Wow, that's one intriguing looking dog. I agree there's some border collie, and then definitely some sort of bully breed.

How about English Bulldog instead of pittie. She's so stout, has the underbite, her neck is HUGE, shorter legs...... honestly I don't know.

her face looks so much like those "puggle" mutts. So maybe she has pug and beagle?
She does look like a bigger version of the Pug/Beagle mixes I've seen. The first thing I thought of, tho when I saw the first picture was Beagle/Chow mix.

When I worked for the shelter we had two dogs that looked just like her. One was the same size and everything and she was a Border Collie/English Bulldog mix (her parents were known so it wasn't just a guess). And the other was a bit taller and was a Shar-Pei/Rottie mix.

Ugghhh I don't see how you can see puggle in that. I see puggle and that breed isnt as pretty as that ladies dog! I am going to guess Border collie/ unknown. They have tests that you can get done to determine the breed.

Thanks for your input, guys! Lady's owners have no idea where she came from. I think she was a pound dog, so your guesses are as good as anybody's. It's interesting hearing your observations. She is a pretty unique looking dog.

Those things are so unreliable. A member on another forum had her large black chow mix DNA tested so she could see what other breeds were there. The results came back as purebred chihuahua. When she was offered another test she came back as a coonhound.
