Boy...she really wants her treat. I love how she always lifts her paw(she knows the 'wave') thinking it equals food!

Riley chasing a fly, nothing like an easily amused dog!

Your dos are so beautiful! And always well-groomed. I have a cat with a coat that is similar to the roughs I have met, and I know what it takes to keep her looking good... can't imagine how much work it takes you to keep those two well-groomed. The light in your living room is very flattering for Aspen, btw - that second-to-last picture is my favorite.

LOL Borzoi, be careful what you ask for with more pictures...my camera memory holds hundreds:p. Thank you for the compliment on their coat condition, Aspen especially has such a beautiful coat. Riley is still maturing into his(heck, he is still maturing in general lol)

Thank you Noludoru...their coats aren't as hard to care for as I think it looks...but then again, I am very use to the 'upkeep' aspect of them now LOL(I know I am still crazy for considering a third though:yikes:) Collies also tend to be very clean dogs, dirt seems to just 'shed' out of their fur. The photo of the dog with the white blaze, and full white collar in the living room is Riley. I agree, the lighting really worked with him in there! It is the sunroom, so it has many windows for natural light.

Another picture of Aspen sitting, she is good at that.

Happy belated birthday, Riley!

Gosh they are just gorgeous.
I think I told you this before, but I just LOVE their coats.

Really beautiful pictures, too.

I'm sorry for mixing them up! I envy the wash-and-wear aspect of Collie coats. I think the only dirty Rough Collie I've ever seen was a just-rescued dog who had been neglected for a few years. I wish Emma had a coat like that - it's gorgeous, but definitely NOT wash and wear. It's so much softer than a Collie's, but the way their coats lay is so similar to hers I just couldn't help mentioning it.

Seeing Collie pictures always make me want one. Except I'm not entirely sure I ever want a herding breed, or a large dog with that much hair.. LOL

Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the compliments on their coats too

Noludoru, do you have any pictures of Emma? I would love to see! Don't worry about the mix-up, when my brother comes in from out of state he can never tell the difference either(of course, I can...but I don't expect anyone else too!). He is always going, "is that Riley? No that's Aspen, wait which one is that?"

While the Collies are a herding breed, I don't personally find them as high energy as other herding dogs(I have a sheltie who is very high energy). I have found these two are very happy sleeping inside the house, and being low key...but they are more then willing(and have the energy for it) to get up and go on long hikes and walks. I even hope to take Riley jogging with me at some point when he is older(he keeps up with just about anything, but as you can see in his last picture...he is also the couch king!)...but really, they don't require too much. I may just be lucky though!

Thank you for the belated birthday for Riley, Smexy!

Just a few more of Aspen taken this evening. just showing her trotting around

And Riley jumping off the bridge

or a large dog with that much hair.. LOL
Well, shelties are smaller =D =D =D =D

I LOVE that last one you just posted of Riley. They both look great, but I am biased. Show me a sheltie or a collie and I will ooze love... it's pretty much a guarantee!
