None of the above dogs listed get their ears done. I picked the sheepdog and spitz just because I'm pretty sure they do not. The rest do not. What made you thinks breeds like huskeys and GSD got their ears done?

I think you should double-check your information before posting it...

Last time I checked... GSD, cocker spaniel, and papillons (just to name a few) do NOT have cropped ears. And I'm pretty sure that the cockers dont have cropped ear. As well as a few of your tail breeds have naturally docked tails (australian shepherd, corgi).

Just taking a glance... akitas, malamutes, american eskimos, basenjis, chihuahuas, german shepherds, rough collies, pomeranians, pharaoh hounds, schipperkes, and dachsunds are all natural.

Neos have their tails done.

Where did you get those lists?

As well as a few of your tail breeds have naturally docked tails (australian shepherd, corgi).
Actually most aussies and corgis are not naturally docked. People might like to claim that, but I dont think there are any breeds were they are ALL born with naturally docked tails.

Almost ALL breeds have natural long tails & natural fold rose ears... I've seen GSD with natural ears & I've seen Dachshund with dock tails

I'll come up with pictures, but I gathered some of the list breeds on this site
http://www.cdb.org/list.htm & I did double check to see if most of the breeds have their tails dock which some I was confused b/c some had pictures with their tails docked etc

Also I looked on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

Maybe you need to expand your research. You listed a whackload of cropped breeds that aren't.. and still aren't taking responsibility for your 'oops'. It's one thing for some tooly person to crop or dock a breed that isn't. It does not make them a cropped or docked breed then..

If the breed standard calls for it then they are. American cockers being cropped is a rather large screw up.. so are a large portion of your lists.

What?
GSD's do not have " fold rose ears", when they're pups their ears are down, as the cartilage strengthens they stand up. There is no cropping in them, or Akitas or many of the others on your list.

And a Doxie with a docked tail? Perhaps if it had damaged it at some point in its life the tail would have been amputated, their standard does NOT call for a docked tail.
Check each of the breeds you listed against their AKC or CKC standard, there is usually an option of cropped or un cropped for ears, most of the crops on your list will say nothing about cropping in their standard.

"Natural fold rose ears"??? I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about.

You do know that wolves and almost all wild mammals (big cats, deer-type animals, etc.) have prick ears? It's through selective breeding and domestication that dogs developed floppy ears. Floppy ears make it much harder for dogs to communicate with each other (can't move them as much).

I know that about wolves! I'm trying to think before I type without errors again LOL

BUT I've seen many breeds that have natural ears in Husky/GSD/Malamutes... Some probably are an error b/c I didn't look at all of them

Like I said, I was confused! And yes Cockers do have dock tails I think they dock the tips of the tails in some?

Here's few pictures

Natural ears? Natural implies that the ear set occurs naturally. My dogs are 'naturally' prick eared, they were 'drop eared' (what you are calling natural) until they were 8 or 9 weeks old. I did nothing to make the ears stand up.

Are you implying that northern breeds, or any other breeds, that have ears that stand up were cropped to do so??

That first Mal pic is a puppy, the ears have not developed yet. Cartlige not strong enough to hold up, the other pic the Mal looks quite young.
Cropping involves cutting a portion of the ear off, those pics have full ears.

Cockers are docked as per standard.
You are really messing up the docking and cropping, its 2 completely different procedures at very different ends of the body
