I've noticed that alot of people new to the forums are having trouble posting pics of their dogs. So I'm going to explain how.

With Photobucket

Step 1. Go to http://www.photobucket.com and create an account (its free!)

Step 2. Upload your pics to your account by clicking "browse" on the upload form then clicking "upload". You can upload multiple pics at a time but I don't recommend it if you have dial up.

Step 3. After you have uploaded your pics you will see lots of writing below them. It will look like this,

Step 4. Right click in the form that says "IMG Code" then click copy.

Step 5. Come to this forum and start a new topic. In the white area where you type right click in it and click on paste. Now after you type what you want on the topic and have posted your pics (maximum of 4 pics per post) click on "Submit New Thread".

Now sit back and wait for replies to your topic!

With other image hosting site

If you use other image hosting sites such as tinypics, image shack, flickr, and many others here is how to post a picture if it doesn't provide a img code.

Step 1. Right click in the address bar while viewing the picture and click on "Select All" then right click in the address bar again and click on "Copy"

Step 2. Come here and click on "New Thread" and you can type in whatever title you wish and then in post box look above it for a symbol that looks like this and click on it.

(I put a red box around the symbol)

Step 3. A box will appear that looks like the image below and then right click in the white box and click on "Paste".

Step 4. Click on "Ok"

Repeat above steps for multiple pics, remember 4 picture maximum per post and this includes simileys!

I created this topic on another forum, so thats why some examples look different than they would here, but it works the same.

Yea, but yours has several large images, you didn't have to take a screen shot of each step ;), mine is made for people with dial up internet or a slow internet connection. I have a high speed dsl connection and that took to long to load.

The reason I took screenshots was because I was making it for someone who was having photobucket problems, and wanted to make following it as simple as possible. (It ended up not helping, though, but that was photobucket's fault and not hers.)

Ok, just so you know. This is a help topic, not discussion and that a mod will be locking the topic and possibly deleting the post, except for the 1st one. ;)

Well I don't know how its ran here but on every other forum I've been on a help topic is always locked and any post beside the first one is deleted. And I am the one saying its not a discussion topic. ;)

Well then.. allow me to introduce you to Chazhound. We don't run things like other forums and are truly unique in many aspects. One of them being that we let threads run a natural course. ;)

Soo.. you may want this to be a solely "help" thread people can access when needed... buuut, it turns out it's become a discussion thread. ;)

Oh, ok. But why make it a pinned topic if your not going to lock it? I thought that was the point so that people can refer to it for help but not to talk about it.

We have lots of threads that are stickied that remain open for discussion. Just because something is a help topic does not mean a question may not arise further down the road.

The help is still available in the first post. Anything else is an optional read. I can't think of a single sticky that has been locked. And all threads are open for discussion except the very few that get too heated and needed to be locked. Like BP said, we run things a little differently and I think you'll find us to be a very open forum.
