Wow! Morgan just lost a puppy tooth! Well, he's lost a couple now, actually. But all the others he has lost or eaten. This time he was chewing on his rope toy and the tooth just fell out.

I am really tempted to stop by my dentist's office just to get one of those toothfairy boxes that they give to little kids. I don't know what I would do with it after that point... but that's not the point right now!

Raising a puppy is just so much fun. :) Maybe I'm weird, but it is!

You're not weird at all. I've never had children so I didn't even know about toothfairy boxes. I would have gotten one for my dog if I had known. You're a special mommy!

Thanks for the reassurance. ;) It's nice to hear when people think I'm NOT crazy! :D

I don't have kids, either. I just remember that my mom used to get little toothfairy boxes for my brothers and I. I wonder if they still even do that? Hmmm... guess I'll never know until I ask!

Now I just have to figure out what to do with the tooth! Lol!

That is a neat idea! I dunno of the tooth is really big enough to string onto a necklace or anything... I'm afraid it would break if I tried to drill a hole through it. That... and it's a puppy tooth! It's sharp! I'd probably hurt myself trying to wear it. :lol-sign:

I'm going to brainstorm some on this idea, though, and see if i come up with something that works...

I want a tooth fairy box. :(
Want me to mail you one? I'm sure I could get two from my dentist. :D

I was thinking of making a scrapbook for Morgan, but I don't know what else I would put in it... other than the tooth, of course. I've never made a scrapbook before, I have no idea how I would get started!

And thank you all for not thinking I'm weird! :D I love this place!!

What goes in a scrapbook?? PICTURES!! I think that's the best part of any scrapbook. Like, you could put the tooth in the book, along with a picture of what he looked like when he lost the tooth - how big he is, etc. You could also put in those old puppy collars that he grew out of, or if you made a particularly large toy-purchase at the petstore, you could even put in the receipt!

No, I've actually never done a scrapbook myself, but I keep telling myself I should.

I'm bumping this thread with an update, just because it seems silly to me to start a new one on the subject.

Anyways, Morgan is seriously dropping teeth now! Just since yesterday, he has lost three molars and both his bottom incisors. Poor pup looks toothless! He's brought me a pile of his toys and is now alternating between chewing on each of them.

The funny thing about losing his teeth, though, is that these past two days he's felt the need to bring them to me. He'll get a look on his face, start rolling his tongue around his mouth (much like a little kid with loose teeth), and then deposit the offending tooth in my lap. It's a little weird, but at least I have a small collection for when I start his scrapbook. :D

Now I just need him to lose his broken puppy incisor... It bothers me so much!

Awwwww....he wants you to give them to the toofy fairy !

I bet you are right.

I wonder what the tooth fairy brings to puppies? I doubt that Morgan would get much use out of a quarter under his pillow. :p

Maybe the puppy tooth fairy brings kong chewy toys. ;)
