Bobsie reminds me of Princess. I think she kind of looks like a TS. but she's supposely ''shih tzu x poodle'' I see the shih tzu...poodle not at all. But I see more peke and maybe even spaniel.

Why do breeds have to look so much alike, you can't tell whats, what!

Tell me about it
Bobsie was supposedly Lhasa / Peke (just a guess from the rescue because her owners just kind of dumped and ran) but about two weeks ago they showed up with TS pedigree about ten miles long!! OMG! I almost Sh@t myself, lol
Princess is the third one over in your sig? She does look like a TS!! O,O

Yeah I agree. There are several in my breed books that Booger could be, and several that April could be (both match up to different ones) and they're brother and sister, like the parents belong to the next door neighbors. They're westie / pug mixes, but nobody would ever guess that. She is an absolutely adorable little girl, though... Who's the Dachshund in the back? He / she's pretty, too! How many dogs do you have?

Does Bobsie shed alot? For a mix that neither breed sheds alot...she does...ALOT.

I understand Peke's shed alot, what about Tibbies?

Gah tibbies are cuties...Bobsie is so precious :)....but they are rare, who would of ever thought me getting a rare dog?

Maybe they fabricated the papers, because not many people hear about tibbies to go and want to buy them, and ''poo's'' are the new things now anyways.

Bobsie's been shaved since the day after we got her. Her hair was way too matted to brush out, I felt like it would have been cruel to try, so we shaved her down. I'm waiting for it to grow back out, but no it doesn't seem like she sheds a lot.

I wouldn't be surprised about fabricated papers. I got Bobsie for $65 that was given back to me when I started grooming for the rescue I got her from (and now work for). Free Tibby, man! lol

She is precious... I wanted my own little girl for so long, and I finally got her. Mind you she's ten years old, but she attached herself to me like a barnacle the second she came home. :)

Thanks. :)

Too much, I've been told lol. I have own four, Princess (mix), Princess (dachshund) (i will tell you about the names lol), Pepe (bichon frise), and Valentino (Princess' puppy)

My sister owns Lucky and Honey who are shih tzus, and Hockey (one of princess' pups). Lucky & Honey stay with my sister, and Hockey is currently still in my house.

Princess other puppies, Louie is owned by my friend, and Coco is owned by my sister's coworker.

Here's Coco, I haven't had her posted in this thread.

It was an oops litter, the father is my sister's Lucky. Who she refuses to get s/n to her shih tzus, as she plans to breed them, ugh.

Both Princess' are unaltered and are going to be altered in May. Pepe is altered. All puppies owenrs (even my sister) agreed to get them s/n.

My sister REFUSES I change Princess (the mix) name, because its on ''her papers''. And to tell her otherwise is a pain in the arse. I had the doxie first, and then came along Princess [who was suppose to be my sister's, but she didn't take on the responsibility] But I call her Mama most the time. The doxie sometimes I call Pre Pre, and Prenup, lol it grew on from pre pre...and just replaces the other pre with nup. I occasionally call her Princess, but the way I sound out the doxie's name is more high pitch, so they know when I'm refering to whom. I would just change her name to Mama, but I'm too lazy to change, picture titles, youtube videos, ect...its way to much! And well they know their name, that's all that matters, as long as they're not confused, but I confuse the heck out of people lol.

But to answer your question I have four lol. Currently five, but I OWN four. Sometimes I'll have my sister's dogs over, and when the pups were here it was NINE, because I had my sister's shih tzus with me, the four pups, and my three while she was looking for a new home (was in an apartment which didn't allow dogs, and the complex found out, why she got dogs, no clue).

It was also originally six pups, but two didn't make it :( And it was then 10 also, because I had my Didi, but she had to pts. 6 pups, four dogs I own, my sister's 2 dogs.

How did I get to so many? I really only wanted two dogs. Didi I had since the sixth grade, she was given up by an elderly lady who no longer could take care of her. Got a shih tzu [off the streets, wandering] named Lucky, but sadly got ran over by a car. Mom got Pepe from the HS, to replace Lucky. Went to get my sister's 2nd shih tzu at the pet store, someone was looking for a home for the doxie. I couldn't say no. Sister had someone who was looking for a home to their dog who lived its life outside. She said she couldn't stay at her house, because Lucky [her shih tzu] wouldn't leave her alone, but he's a pest to every dog. Under my household, he ISN'T allowed to pester anyone. She allowed it to happen and did nothing to stop it, but he never bothers her here, because I simply DON'T allow it. And then an oops litter, and I didn't want these dogs to end up in shetlers, so I kept one [he also grew on me], my sister kept one, and the other two to homes where I can keep a close eye on them and get updates, things of that sort. But later on when my numbers decrease [dogs' pass on] I would like my number of dogs to go back to two, lol, if it wasn't for my city's dog limit to be four, who knows, I'm a sucker for dogs in need of homes!

If I can get my number one day back to one dog, I would like to rescue a bull terrier, thats just one breed I've always wanted to own.

The breeds I have now, I never intended to own any. But after I could own a bt, I would go back to getting whatever breed of dog comes my way like I have.

Awww thats sweet. :)

This is the first time beinging shaved down, so lets see. She's the only dog I have problems with shedding now. Before it was Didi, but I couldn't do anything about it, because she had short hair.

Didi's breed-search was a hassle for me too. I wasn't so educated on dog breeds back then. My first though chi x dalmatian...lol. She had the face of a chi and had spots.......yeah I was one of those ignorant people, if it had spots, its a dal lol.

Then a corgi, because her tail was docked, and that was the only small dog breed I knew with docked tails.

Then I came across a picture of a minpin, and I thought that was it. Plus she had a daugther previously with her previous owner that was blk and tan like a min pin.

Then someone suggested she looks like a friend of their's rat terrier... I was like a what terrier? Researched the breed, and bang there is was, she's a rat terrier.

As I did more researched I found out, she also looks like toy fox terriers and tenterfield terriers [breeds I haven't heard of]

But most people think to say she's a rat terrier who are big on dog breeds, so yeah, rat terrier it was.

But to people who don't know their dog breeds, she's a chihuahua. Its hard to convince them otherwise that there's OTHER dog breeds too. And some people don't ask, they jsut say aww what a cute chi.

Like Pepe, forget mentioning bichon frise...bich...huh??...wuh?....I just call him a poodle sometimes. Esp. with his haircut, he looks JUST like one. So who am I to argue with some people. Same thing also, some people just say cute poodle. And i just keep my mouth shut, because they probably have no idea of what a bichon is or care to know what it is, I've learned.

And as for the dachshund..........weiner dog, just weiner dog lol....they have no clue what dachshund is...but they sure do know weiner dog. I believe thats universal in dog breeds lol. In spanish they call them sausages. :lol-sign:

Now what about if I get the whole TS thing going, not even many dog people know what that is!

I'm a groomer (out of work for the moment) and this lady used to bring her Bichon in and she'd call him a bitchon frizz. O.O WTF lady??? She was just too ridiculous to explain to, any way.
And we had lots of people come in with BFs calling them poodles. And some long haired daschunds that people just assumed were mutts. o_O
We just let it go.

Maybe she was talking about blitzing? Common in bichons [happens in other breeds too] Its like pyscho zoomies or something lol.
