Okay, so the grrls are doing very well on Canidae, but.... (you knew there was a but coming lol)
I liked Maddie's coat better when it was on EVO. She has a little bit of dandruff right now, and some eye goopies. I don't remember this much eye goopies with the EVO... And the texture of her hair has changed a teensy bit, I'm not sure how to explain it really. Less soft, I guess.

:( My problem - the only store that carries EVO in the area started to sell designer breed puppies at their store. And, of course, I refuse to shop their anymore! :(

Missy is doing really well on Canidae, however. And since I live with my parents, and they also feed Canidae we just buy a big bag and split...
I'm considering buying a bag of TOTW and seeing how Maddie does on it - because its grain free. And if Missy likes it, maybe her too (she's a picky eater).
I've read the ingredients, and they look good to me - but I'd love some input! Thx!

I bought a small bag and gave some to the dogs, they loved it. The cat is on TOTW and he is in beautiful condition.

I kind of hesitate to switch Bella and Banzai to TOTW only because they are doing so well on EVO... buuuut, if you can't get EVO anymore, I say go for it! :)

I'm not sure about TOTW, I've never used it. I just wanted to commend you on your decision on not going into that store even if it means missing out on great food. It caught my eye when I read this and reminded me of a dream I had about 6 months ago. My dream was about the local store where I buy my EVO, they decided(in my dreams) to start selling puppies. I remember being so upset that I couldn't get EVO anymore(I do not support stores that are in the market of selling puppies or kittens), and even when I woke up I had to keep telling myself it was just a dream, just a dream...lol

Be sure you go in - or write to the owner - and tell them WHY you are no longer shopping there!

And it wouldn't hurt to drop a line to Natura to tell them why you are having to switch foods either.

The pet store around here that sells EVO sells ring tail-lemurs, monkeys, skunks, use to sell puppies, kittens, mundi coatis, not sure about now but they use to sell sharks at one point.

So my other choice was Canidae, but that store sells teacup puppies. I could go back to Nutro, but they seem to like Canidae better. Also places that sell Nutro, if they don't sell puppies, they sell birds, and all other sorts of animals. There's no escape.

Is there a place where you can purchase these foods online?

I just gave away one and a half bags of TOTW to a rescue. I had to special order it, so I thought I'd just get two rather than having to re-order. Meg had a somewhat upset stomach (some loose stools, gas), although nothing like when she was on Wellness CORE. But the real reason I got rid of it was that she clearly wasn't liking it. I'd put her bowl down and she'd kind of look at it, then look at me, and I'd have to encourage her to eat. She'd never done that before.

She's back on Orijen, and diving into her food, and has her iron stomach back. As much as I like the idea of rotating foods, we may just be doing the two kinds of Orijen and some raw from now on.

:) Thanks.
There has been a couple times that I've questioned whether or not I should stick with it - because I really do like the EVO, but I just refuse to support that, at all.
I buy huge bags, so I only buy food about once a month. I walked into that store, and saw the puppies and my heart dropped. I thought for a slipt second that they could potentially be rescues, since I knew the owner "boarded" dogs for certain rescues and fostered as well. But, it was a little too painfully obvious, because 'puggles' were the 'in' thing - and they had puggles, peke-a-poo's and something else I can't remember. I was with a friend, and we were talking very loudly about it - I'm sure we were heard! Needless to say we walked out without a single purchase... I've been back there since, just to double check, but still the same thing so I left empty handed. Shame.
So my other choice was Canidae
That's what I turned to... Then I noticed TOTW at Pet Supplies Plus (which is where I get it) so last night I bought a small bag and let them try it this morning. So far, so good :)
