Tricky Treat Ball?

I am thinking I am going to get Morgan a Tricky Treat Ball today...

Would this be an appropriate/safe toy to leave in his crate during the day while my husband and I are at work? I am very paranoid about what he has in the crate unsupervised. I know that a lot of you give your dogs a food puzzle as you leave for work, but I wanted to check and see if this is one of the accepted kinds.

Many people leave kongs that are filled for their dogs to work at while they're crated. I've had a similar treat ball to the one you showed, and it works well. The only problem I think with leaving it in the crate is that there's usually not enough room in the crate to roll it around. I think it has to roll around to get the treats to come out.
