New rule, I'm only allowed to look for bad breeders in states on the west coast, not within half an hour of me.

Beautiful dog. It has to be horribly difficult to be rehoming your dog before going into the service. It's always a shame when the family can't/won't care for a dog while someone's serving.

I know there are certain rescues that will help to place the dog in long term foster while the person is serving...

Problem with that PW, is that someone brand new to the military and unmarried will be staying in the barracks. They cannot live off post, and you cannot have pets in the barracks. I think that's probably this persons snag.
