Fable and Her Puppies

I thought I would share some pictures of Fable's puppies since they are basically the cutest things around. They were born in a high-kill shelter on January 27th a few days after Fable was picked up as a pregnant stray on the streets of Southern California. After a little over a week in the high-kill shelter, the whole family was transported up to Oregon by the rescue I volunteer for. The pups were all adopted when they turned seven weeks old. We think the puppies are some kind of heeler/corgi mix since they are all shaped like corgis. I honestly never would have guessed heeler if Fable was not the mom.

Fable with her pups on their first day in Oregon. They are around 10 days old here:

Fable's first time seeing Athena and Apollo (now Tolstoy) in 4 months. They are around 6 months old here:

Alexander (now Gambit) at around 5 months old. He is the only one in the litter that is not shaped like a corgi.

Gambit again. Poor bud fractured his tibia a week before he was supposed to get neutered, but he is all good now! He is around 6 months old here:

All puppies are doing well in their forever homes. We get to see Tolstoy and Athena occasionally since they both live nearby. Hope you enjoyed!

Awww! What a story they have! They actually remind me more of JRT mixes than Corgi.

I love Fable, she is so cute, and her pups are OMG so adorable... you're right though, don't look anything like her! ha

So cute! What rescue did she come from? I'm part of the network down here and we send a lot of dogs up north through Redwood Coast.

She came up from Riverside County through S.T.A.R.T. to a small local rescue here in Portland. There was no connection with Redwood Coast. Is that who pulled Ulysses?

Uly is from 4Life in Orange County but went through a couple of people to get here. The network is informal, but a lot of dogs from down here end up heading north via Redwood Coast.

Oh my goodness. 8________8 What freaking cuties.

I want them all! They are precious. What a happy ending for them all.
