A while back someone (I want to say SitStay but I'm not sure) posted in a thread a link to a purple vest that says something like don't touch/in training, and it had the bonus of not looking like a service dog vest. Anyone recall something like that?

Thanks!

Hmm, if it was me maybe try Freckles Designs? I think they make those types of vests, with custom colors and maybe even custom phrases. I hope that helps!

I was just looking at these myself, and it is sitstay that has them. You can buy the plain vests [I did see purple in those] and buy the patches separately to sew on yourself. It is quite a bit cheaper that way too. I don't recall the purple on the premade ones, but I didn't look super close either. :)

For what purpose do you want the vest?

Usually I recommend getting a Thunder Shirt or Anxiety Wrap and putting a patch on that if you must. It's very different from a service dog vest AND actually helps if anxiety/fear is something you're trying to work on.

I wouldn't but anything from SitStay, as they have in the past actually encouraged people to fake service dogs.

What about using a high-visibility vest instead? I have one for Gavroche (used for night walks, not actually for training) that was locally made and it's VERY bright and VERY reflective, but doesn't look at all like a service dog vest. I think Petco even has a variation of these, and somewhere like Cabella's or Gander Mountain is bound to have them. Any place that caters to hunting dogs.

Or try Etsy. Like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/1232631...type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all

Or you could try those Julius K9 vest things like Sizzle had for Revy.

Yeah sorry, I thought she meant the site. A friend is trying to help me make a vest for mine, where I will get patches to add to it. Maybe that's an idea, then you can have it crafted in any color you want. :D

I like it cause it's huge. I showed it to our trainer a while back and she thought it would be good for some of her clients.

I just wish I wasn't so indecisive, lol. Do I want "in training" or "give me space" bolded?

I would choose "give me space" bolded, as that's more likely to keep people away. "In training" tends to draw people in.

I think I'll go with "give me space" too.

I can imagine getting all the "what are you training you dog for?" etc.
