I think Peanut has outgrown her puppy stage. Shes about 15 months old now and last night for the first time, I hugged her without getting bitten.lol. She actually fell asleep in my arms without any fussing or nipping, whining or trying to kill me.lol She has also become a bit more laid back. My question is this; has she grown out of her puppy stage or could this be something else?

Sounds like she's just calming down a bit! She might be outgrowing the total squirmy puppy stage, or she might have just had a relaxed mood. (Ripley's been having some of those lately, too... I kinda like this maturity stuff, I can actually hold him without him gnawing on my hands and whining like I'm killing him.)

LOL, I know what you mean about that last part! I hope this wave of maturity is for good.

Maybe peanuts was just enjoying the moment. And is outgrowing the teeting thing. yay don't worry, be happy..lol

I know exactly what you mean, Nedim. My Zeus is about Peanut's age, and he is suddenly calm as can be. I noticed yesterday that he's filling out (I had to let his collar out another notch), and doesn't look so much like a scarecrow anymore. *Sniffle* They grow up so fast!

Amount Of Food To Give

Hello, I have an adorable and loving and smart 9 mo old mininature poodle, red
in color and food is kinda funky right now. He seems to have his own mind
as to what he will eat and won't eat. No dog food of any kind is liked. He will
eat some kibbles if nothing else is down and he is starving! I have given him
roasted turkey, roasted chicken, port tenderloin, he sometimes will gobble it
up and other times he TURNS UP his nose and walks away!!! I die laughing
but it is very upsetting ,him not eating. I know they say he will eat when he
is hungry, but how long do you leave it down? He likes peas, vegetable mix,
and I do give him them, sometimes mixed in with meat, sometimes alone
beside meat. He has eaten both ways. Should I worry ( if nothing is wrong)
if he misses some meals because he just won't eat,or is he starting to cut
down on one or more meals?? I know they cut down on one meal but two???
Well thanks for listening and any advice you have, let me have it!!!!!!

Amount Of Food To Feed

I was wondering how much food to feed a 9 mo old mininature poodle. I give
him a small bowlfull, maybe 2 handfulls. He normally eats 99% or all of it! But
he starts asking for biscuits and treats not to long after dinner.Doesn't always
get it! Should he get treats if he is not eating his dinner? I know he should
not be more than 15" tall but I don't know the weight.

Thank You
Sandi

Roxy is maturing. She is def. showing her teenage snootiness though. The, I will do it my way, momma doesn't know what she's talking about. LOL Spud is a very sophisticated dog. Extremely well mannered and mature. He is around 17months and has been this way for awhile. I don't think Precious will ever outgrow the puppy stage. Which is fine with me. She is a very unique dog and I think even when her snoot is gray, she will still be running circles with the kids. LOL
