No, most vets don't believe in declawing or debarking. I have a really nice, new client who has 5 small dogs in a very "rich" part if town. Her dumb ass neighbors kept complaining, even after she wrote a nice letter saying she would have training done to stop the barking. The neighbors were unwilling (the s.o.b.'s) So she had 2 of her small dogs "debarked." There is only 1 vet in a 40 mile radius that will do this unspeakable thing. It was is Washoe County, if anyone wants to check my facts...we live in Reno. She called me 2 weeks after the procedure and was crying because she felt so bad. I told her the vocal cords usually grow back and then the problem is still there.......
No matter.... as for declawing cats, most vets don't want anything to do with that anyway. There are training procedures you can do if you really want to have cats and put forth the time. If not, cap the nails....
