Usually it goes something like this:

"sit"

Sits. But she can't mean just sit. Maybe she wants me to sit pretty? Or sit and spin? No? Back up? Oh! Down! Hide my eyes? Repeat.

"Just stop"

Then I roll my eyes and walk away.

Yes, my 12 year old shih tzu does this, especially when frustrated. She'll offer up everything she knows, then run to her mat and started barking at me.

My 10 month old Bouvier also does this, though usually only when confused (like when I'm starting a new behavior with him). Usually runs through a sit, down, go to mat, kennel, nose touch, etc. Then stares at me with sad eyes.

Crystal always does this. She sits then begs and if that doesn't work then she will spin in circles. Then she'll try to go through your legs. If for some reason that doesn't work she will either bark or scratch the nearest object on the ground.

Yes she has done it enough times that I have it memorized lol
