Hi- our dog is terrified of fire works, and shakes for hours on end. We tried sedatives and other remedies, but nothing helped. We have now found the perfect solution for us. We find a hotel that takes dogs...preferably some place in the middle of nowhere far from any planned firework activity. We check in before dinner, turn up the A/C and the TV, order room service and just hang out with her all night. We usually cannot hear any "booms" and it's a little getaway for me and my husband.
