I had the misfortune tonight of running into a very unpleasant person on our evening walk, and without getting into specifics I came home feeling despondent and sad about life.

After mulling over the argument a few times in my head, I decided the only thing to do was validate my position, and I'm so very glad I did. :]

There's just something about breaking out the clicker and cookies and working on a new trick and seeing that "ah ha!" moment in your dog's face when they finally "get it". And nothing warms my heart faster than watching how quickly she does get it! We have been working on an assortment of tricks at a time to keep things varied, and I think tonight we've finally started on a good road to teaching "Shake Paw". :]

Does anyone else ever get that excited, "oh gosh yes!" feeling when you train? It certainly picked me right up after unpleasantness. :]
