Deputy (dx'd with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction) just turned 9 and is, once again, loosing weight. Vet can't figure out why. He is also getting more and more "spacey", plus he is appearing to have some joint issues.

Zane is turning 8 this year and is acting older than he is. While he still runs and plays (a little) he appears to tire out more quickly than he used to What's worrying me is that he has a long history of having life threatening health issues every couple of years (abscess's, kidney issues,, etc) and being shot as a puppy didn't help (several emergencies were caused by the bullet traveling around inside him).

Kieber will be 3 in October and we may only have him for a few more years. Vet cautioned us about the 50% chance of his IVDD reoccurring/getting worse and him loosing the use of his hind legs. He is so active that being on crate rest is driving him insane, literally. He's resource guarding the pad in the crate!

Mysti is the only healthy dog right now and she can't figure out why her "puppy" is locked in a box. She sits right next to his crate and stares mournfully at him. She also can't figure out why Dep won't play with her anymore or why Zane won't always zoom with her.

This is all so depressing.:(
