My sister might be getting a puppy soon and asked for information! I told her I'd send her weblinks, but I don't have any offhand. Do you have any bookmarked that you tend to send people to?

Personally, I would prefer to send her positive training type links, but the forum tends to lean that way anyway, so I'm happy to read some good puppy links!

Some big topics to hit on would be housetraining, nipping, basic obedience, and socialization. I've glanced over the "puppy" and "training" pages of the forum, but I want to send her more legitimate looking sites. I worry that if she just reads a forum of people bickering back and forth she won't trust it as much as a professional looking page.

Thanks in advance!

I recently just needed information like this too, for a teacher getting a puppy. I flipped through my confusing grey matter and remembered a few.

Here are some good trainers and websites.

The only thing I'd add to the above link is a portion on socializing with other dogs. The first step should be asking the other owner (from a distance) whether their dog is friendly with stranger dogs.
