Abrams is VERY enthusiastic about it. (But when he is he not?) He gets "stuck" sometimes when he doesn't understand criteria being raised, but overall he finds it super fun. I tend to be very, very bad at free shaping...I'd much rather lure so the dog gets the basic idea, and then mark/reward for fine tuning efforts.
