Thats wrong to me. I don't think that Pits should be muzzeled b/c some Pits aren't mean. Most of these Pits would not be so mean if there owners knew how to take care of them and wouldn't have them in dog fights. Its HORRIBLE!!!

Dakotah I totally agree with you! It's really sad and when they put the muzzles on the dogs it just makes people more afraid of them. :(

Wrong yes but it is indeed law here in ontario. The breed has been banned and anyone already owning one must muzzle it at all times in public even if a young pup. I do however see many who are not muzzled and I think those people are the ones who care for their pits. It is not fair to punish all for a few. I believe the owner should be able to decide whether a muzzle is necessary or not. It just isn't right and it adds to the terror of the dog. People assume because it wears a muzzle it must be mean and that simply is not the case. I have been fighting this law and the ban since it first started and to no avail.

Yeah, muzzles really aren't going to help in PR department any. And when I was reading this, I kept getting a flash of Lady and the Tramp when Lady had to wear that muzzle. Overly sweet Disney flim, yes I know, but eh *shrug*.

I hate politics, politicians and idiot close-minded special interest groups. There, I said it.

So sad that a pup is labeled before it's even sold. Being in a pet store is not a good sign either. Back yard breeders !!! Geeez !!!

It hurts my heart to know pits are being treated like that in Canada. It sucks that people that are ignorant have ruined the wonderful breed that pits are. I couldn't imagine having to muzzle Neva my pit, it would kill her. Also it is so true that by muzzling all the dogs people will continue to be ignorant about the breed and continue the propaganda that they are a mean, vicious breed. So sad.
