Michaela earned two legs toward her Open Barn Hunt title. :D We were the very last group to run, as well as the next to last team to run (they ran Instinct, then Novice test 1 & test 2 back to back, so we had to wait well over 7 hours for Open). Michaela was the only Q in the first test, and the 2nd test was so late (outdoor trial, no lights), it was getting hard to see anything; but she found both rats in time. Such a good, good girl! I'm so proud of her!

Dog and horse shows are all about hurry up and wait. :lol-sign:

Glad to hear she did so well! Sounds like she is just a natural and loves her new "job".

Thanks, she's all about the rats. :)

It was a long, hot day and Michaela isn't used to being in a crate for that long. We got there a little after 9:30am to get a good parking spot near the venue and didn't get our first run until 6:40pm. I walked her around a lot, hosed her off numerous times, and had a fan on her, but there were times when she just didn't want to go back in the crate. I'm just glad she was still willing to work after all that time.
