You never would have guessed it, but it looks like our little miss crazy wild child foster kitten will not be finding a new home after all. She's here to stay. (And this time, I wasn't the one pushing for it, it was my husband! Who doesn't like cats [and is allergic]! o_O)

So, now that she's no longer a foster, I figured I should properly introduce her.

Please say hello to the newest addition to the family, miss Histamine.

Hard to believe this was what I brought home:

I should have known that when I saw this a few days after bringing her home, she'd be staying:

She's pretty cute:

And she and Abrams are starting to understand one another:

He's doing his best to be very gentle, and he understands that if he downs, she is more apt to come up to him and pounce on him...especially if he wags his tail. Having her around is doing WONDERS for his impulse control. However, they won't be together unsupervised for quite awhile, yet, I imagine. He still is a little too intense.

Her brain wavelength also apparently functions on Abrams' level, because she, too, watches TV:

Guess I need to go buy cat stuff, now. lol

Part of the reason she's a foster fail, I think, is that trying to find a home for a kitten that needs an understanding owner is practically impossible. She is super sweet and so gentle when she plays, but she's a wild child who is a whirlwind of activity and startles easily. She's not a cuddly, great-for-your-grabby-two-year-old type cat, and she would need time to warm up in a new environment/with new people. With the plethora of kittens to choose from...she's not an average family's ideal pick.

Michael likes her because she's docile when you handle her (she let me trim her toenails and bathe her without fuss), a good sport when it comes to teasing, and she wrestles with him without causing harm. (Hm. Much like Abrams, actually. LOL) I just hope she continues to be so great with handling, because Michael's allergies are much happier around cats that are routinely bathed.

Also: so far, no fleas today! Yey! I just finished spraying the house and am now on a cleaning spree.

Awww!! Happy for you! We almost foster failed one of our feral kittens but at the time didn't have a living situation where it was possible. You really get attached to them. :)
