I know I just posted a new thread, but that was before I got my new lens (and that thread's not active, so it doesn't count!).

Anyway, I received a new lens as an early birthday present from my parents, and am very excited to have it! I've only had one chance to really use this lens, and it was while I was hanging out with my friend/college roommate. So her husky got to be the lucky subject!

Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, these were all taken after 9:00 PM (after sunset) so they're fairly grainy and sometimes the focus isn't spot on. All things considering, it works very nicely in low light, and is awesome in normal lighting.

This is Mari, my friend's 2 year old husky

Crazy husky eyes.

Wish this was in focus, but wasn't throwing this out. This girl is hilarious!

Smirky husky approves of this photoshoot

Happy girl!

And a few of Trent that I took as test shots. SOOC because I'm too lazy to edit

Yes, this is how he lies on his bed. Funny, possessive boy <3

This is my old old 50mm f/1.8 D vs. the new 50mm f/1.4 D lens @ f/2.0. Not a huge difference but noticeable.

Thanks for looking!

I really, really love the pop in the pictures of the husky! These are some of my favorites!

And Trent is such a shepherd boy. <3 MINE MINE MINE--I miss GSDs so bad. He's so sweet.
