Yesterday my dogs let me know a strange dog was in the yard. I look out and see a full grown male intact black dog of mixed terrier descent, about 80 lbs and looks to be around middle age. THe dog comes to my porch but shoots back in the woods at any movement on my part in or out of the door. Dog does not leave. I have 2 dogs that need to go out. I have 3 small grandchildren and their parents on the way. Guess we won't be playing outside on one of the last nicest days before it turns cold. I escort them all out when they leave. I do not take my dogs out. Victor being blind I cannot take a chance he could even defend himself, and PEpper has no idea that she would seriously lose if a row started with this one. My son came and said that dog is ok, he is just scared. I said YES. A scared dog will bite you faster than any other and that dog acts terrified. By dark the dog is gone as far as I know.

ASk the neighbor this morning if that dog had anything to do with her because I thought I had seen her daughter in the distance with this dog on a leash but wasn't sure. My distance vision is toast. She said yes. THey just got the dog and he got away. Ah WHY would you bring that dog here when your yard is 3 ft by 6 ft with no fence? Plus for a fact the building manager wants to turn this to a no pet building so no permission either. SHe said "JUST GRAB HIM HE"S NICE "she really did when I asked her the why question. YOu cannot get to my front door without passing within 5 ft of their front door.

No one looked or called for that dog all afternoon and evening. No one was home because I knocked on that door more than once. I was asked if stupid people make me mad. This kind of stupid puts me at full boil. Poor dang dog never stood a chance the second he was entrusted in her care. Not the dog I blame. I have been bit breaking up fights, I know that a dog can look at your face, wag it's tail, and when you reach for the tag to see the phone number bite you through your thumbnail and hold on like a snapping turtle. There is no way, whatsoever I would do as she told me to do. SHe did not ask, nor did she apologize, nor did she start tromping through the woods with treats. They have also dumped a valdez lake of oil in the driveway. IF I was a bad person I would wish she would slip on it. I did. But I will refrain from such thought the very best I can. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Two words come to mind- Animal Control.

And I'll say it for you- I hope she slips in the oil spill in the driveway.

dog is gone. No animal control on Sunday and besides there is one officer and he is not chasing a scared dog through those woods. They go on for miles. I just feel bad for the dog and disgusted with my neighbor. Hnestly do stupid people make you mad ? If someone is uneducated and truly had no idea, that would be one thing, but as far as I am concerned this is nothing but reckless endangerment but no one does a thing until something happens in other words too late. The dog is probably the one that will suffer. IT's cold, flat coat, won't last long on his own.
I can't see a soul getting close, he's fast.

What has my hackles up is that woman said :we looked all day". Uh, no. No one was home, no signs, no calling, no whistling, no asking me to keep an eye out, nothing. They did clean up the oil slick.

I would like her to be out there tonight, scared, lost, cold. But that is a bad thought right?

She comes in with another one, no worries, calls will be made.
