Me, just to snoop, not adopting anymore right now for sure. Still awaiting my rescue. People were just posting the links to there local shelters.

No humane society in my town. There is an Animal Control/Shelter though.
The first website tells about them (not too impressive) and the second is where they list the animals that are there.

I refuse to consider ours a real animal shelter. It is a place that refuses to take animals. Anyone with a animal that needs a home has to sign a paper that they will foster the animal until a home is found. I know of someone who had a old dog dumped at his house, the humane society said they wouldnt take him because they'd never find him a home. We found a cat that needed help and a home, they wouldnt take her and now we still have her. In my eyes and many others in this area, it is not considered a true humane society. It's a name only.
