The final verdict came out on her husband:

Abington resident John Tassinari guilty of first-degree murder

According to reporter Mikaela Slaney, who is at Brockton Superior Court this morning, Abington resident John Tassinari has been found guilty of first-degree murder. He was given a life sentence.

Thomas Scolaro, the brother of shooting victim Barbara Tassinari, said, "This verdict will not bring back my sister. There will be no be celebration tonight."

Before the verdict was given, John made a statement. In it, he said, "Saying I'm sorry does nothing for all these wonderful people behind me. But nevertheless, I'd like to apologize."

I'm glad he was found guilty at the least. I will never understand how people can do this to someone else.
